A war is not a market
Amazon has blocked Meta's agent, Brussels has ordered Android open to rivals, and the question is no longer who wins the interface, but who can escape the winner.

Who answers for the agent
An assistant can buy on your behalf and document what you authorised. As a task passes between services, who preserves the limits you set, and what does it cost you to enforce them?

The Munition Economy
Most of America's growth now comes from AI, and the same asset has entered the munition regime: export controls, a state clearinghouse, kill switches. No director, just a circuit: securitisation certifies value, value becomes GDP, and GDP makes the munition indispensable.

Who Controls the Interface
The industry promises the end of apps: a single conversational interface in place of the grid of icons. But gatekeeping does not evaporate, it moves up towards whoever controls the mediation layer. After data, compute and objectives, mediation is the fourth face of dependency, and of sovereignty.

Europe and Digital Sovereignty: Deciding in the Digital World without Depending on Others
EU digital sovereignty is autonomy via cooperation, not isolation. To avoid being a regulator without infrastructure, pursue managed interdependence with two pillars: developing tech industry and build DPI (EUDI Wallet and Digital Euro). Forge alliances (India, Brazil) to scale sovereign platforms.
